One of our missionaries, Elder Beaumont had his 20th birthday, so we treated him to some Birthday cake and cookies. Here is is posing with some of us. Since the Conways have gone home, they have been replaced by the Bendio's on the left and Sister Abrahms in the black sweater. She is very computer savvy as is Elder Bendio, so their office training was very quick and easy for them. The Howards work with the young adults and were celebrating their anniversary.
Today we went to the Marche Bon Secours. This shopping center is nice, but most of the shops there are exclusive and very expensive. In the photo above, the Hotel de Ville or City Hall is just on the street up from the marche. I love it's beautiful architecture. After that we went to Costco for some bulk item shopping.
On the way home we stopped for Beavertails. This yummy treat is famous here in Montreal and also in Ontario. It reminded me a lot of Indian fry bread, only with some sugar in the dough. The toppings vary. You can get them with various fruits with chocolate, sugar, maple syrup, and several others kinds. This chocolate with chocolate was so delicious. I am going to try to make them myself sometime soon.
That really DOES look like a beaver's tail! Crazy!
