Penny/ Dani's Baby Shower and Day with S and J

Friday JoJo and I went to Dani and Penny's Baby Shower.  Lots of her friends were there.

 Someone made this cute banner.

Sierra and the other Dani always enjoy each other's company.
Cute little bags filled with popcorn.
Ice cream and punch were also served.
It was a onsie shower so we got to make onsies.    Jo made this cute little dress and bow.
JaNee and I made the flower one.  We made a good team.Ja

JaNee got Penny this adorable dress and shoes.

This cute little guy spent a lot of time exploring and toddling around.

Dani is going to use cloth diapers and so she got tons of cute little cover up panties that the cloth diapers fit into.  I can remember when we had no choice but to use cloth diapers.  Everyone did and it was a lot of work.  Of course we didn't have these cute little cover ups then.
J and S got to spend the night and a couple of days with us because Val and Ryan along with T and M went on a temple trip to Manti to do baptisms.  We had a lot of fun with the kids.  For lunch we went to IHOP.
S always sits next to Papa.  They are the best of Buds.
J and I love each other too.
This is how they walked to the car.
And then.... these are the pictures they took in the car. Ha.

That afternoon, in fact all day long, our HOA had a fun day.  There were all sorts of activities for the kids.
                                                       J running the obstacle course.

S running and winning the obstacle course.

The parade of flags.  All participants made their own flag.  Jo did an awesome job.

S got 2 awards; one gold and one silver.

Reggie loved eating a prize cupcake.  I think he got it for being the cutest guy there.

Back to a couple more pictures from the shower.

Monday catch up

I forgot to post these cute pictures.   Here is my sweet Tal on the 4th of July.  We had a little celebration here and she's all ready in her outfit.  I am going to miss her soooooo much while we're gone.  I can barely stand to leave her.  The other day she came over and as soon as she saw me she started crying.  I asked her what was wrong and she said, "Grandma, don't leave me."  It breaks my heart, but I must do as the Lord wants.

Mr Jakob had his 1st birthday Saturday.  He is the cutest baby and he loves me.  Whenever he sees me he comes over and gives me the biggest hug.  He just hold onto me and presses into me with his entire body.  Oh, how I love that.  I will miss those baby hugs and kisses too.

Cuteness Reggie lives with us.  He is the handsomest little guy.  He is a collector.  Whenever we go for a walk this is what he comes home with.  He LOVES to collect stuff.  It's so funny.  I love his smile and his sweetness.  How does one leave so many cute babies?

Last Wednesday we went out to breakfast at IHOP with the Asplunds to celebrate Carolyn's 78th B'day.  This wonderful couple are our dear friends from the ward.  They have served 3 missions.  I do water aerobics with them 3 times a week and while we are swimming John runs and works out.

So much to do to get ready to leave.  I am busy every minute it seems.  We are excited, but it's hard too to leave everyone.

Another Mission

We've been called on another mission.   John anxiously checked the mailbox everyday and today after his home teaching visit he came rushing into the house saying, "Guess what came in the mail today!"  That was about 2:45 and then we waited and waited and waited to open the letter until Anna got everyone on a conference call at 7:00.  We were soooooooo surprised and excited to see that we have been called to the Canada Montreal Mission.  We will go to the MTC on Sept 10th and will serve for 18 months.

Wicked

The girls and I got to go see Wicked in Salt Lake City.  It was so good and it was so much fun being together just enjoying each other and the showl.

We sat waaaaaaay in the top balcony.  It was so far away, but we still really enjoyed the show.  After the show we all went to Olive Garden for a yummy dinner.  It was so nice that all the Dad's babysat so that the Mommies could have a little break.

Tiffany and Quilt

Our sweet niece Tif was visiting from Oregon and I got to have her and some of her children come over for lunch.  We all had such a nice time together.  Annie and Tate went into the front room to read for a while
Lucy liked playing with the dollies and Barbies.
Eliza helped play with all of the little kids.

Cousins.  I loved having everyone over.  They are all so great.

I made little Penny a quilt and gave it to Dani.  We can't wait to meet  her.  Only 1 more month to wait.

Babysitting

The other day we were babysitting these little darlings.  Jakob is sooo sweet.  He loves to cuddle and play and he has the cutest little laugh.  When it was bedtime, this is how he fell asleep.
Andrea came home and took Tal downstairs to play.  Next thing I knew these two little cousins were bathed and happily in their pj's watching a fun movie together.   Cousin love is the best.  If only the other cousins were here.  Always so sad for everyone that they're not.
